You can meet people only as deeply as you met yourself

We are all on our journey through this life. We are just in different places at different times.

It doesn’t mean that we will forever drift apart if we are not met as deeply as we would want. People have their own pace.

There will be times when you will feel misunderstood and that’s ok.

But you will meet people who will understand. Who will truly and deeply meet you exactly where you are even feel like they are step ahead. Like they know something more.

And you know when it happens. There is some connection we can’t easily explain.

You feel seen for what you are. For who you really are deep down. Without judgement and without shame.

You will leave feeling that there is more to find and more to understand about yourself. More to discover and to explain.

Through time we meet others on their own path and we have a chance to meet them and show them we understand. That we understand their neuroticisms, fears, and uncertainty.

And we make them feel welcomed to the human existence. As others have done for you.

You will share this with others even though it might be just a feeling which will lay dormant for years before it is their time.

But it starts with you. It’s a journey you have to actively make. People will help you and guide you but no one can carry you.

It’s the most private and intimate path you will take that will open the most frightened parts of you to the world.

And it is worth it.

To understand others a little bit better. To be able to help a little bit more. To make people feel seen.
