Lately, I’ve been wondering what I would want my life to look like. Especially in the long term. Two, three years ago I would have no idea if someone would ask me “How do you want your life to look like in 5 years?”. Now, fairly intuitively, I can group it into three points in random order:
- Mental health
- Physical health
- Financial wellbeing
I’m now aiming to be “just above average” in all three of those. For more mathematically minded, to be in somewhere at 60th to 90th percentile (90th to keep going somewhere, eh?*).
And I believe, it is better to be just above average in all of them rather than being “great” at one and suffer from others.
Problem is that it is not easy. And this blog is about me trying to find out what I can for myself to improve. Writing it down forces me to organise and maybe, in the end, it might help someone. That would be a nice benefit!
*We can always conveniently slice any population, so we can come on top. If you are in your twenties, it’s not hard to be in the top 1% of physical health when you compare yourself only to care homes. Easy way how to join the top 1%!
